How much do batting cages cost?

Updated: October 9, 2026

There are two ways to pay at a batting cage, and they suit different visits. Classic outdoor cages, often at family fun centers, sell a round of pitches for a token or a swipe on a game card. Indoor training facilities mostly rent a whole cage, usually by the half hour or the hour. The numbers below come from the 92 facilities in our directory that post their prices. We left out prices older than 2020.

Pay per round: tokens and cards

A round costs a median of $2.50 for about 16 pitches, based on 25 posted prices. That's roughly $0.13 per pitch. Prices range from $1 to $20 per round. Many places sell bundles, for example several tokens at a discount.

Rent a cage by the hour

The median hourly rate is $47.50 (22 facilities, $20 to $165). Half-hour slots cost a median of $30 (16 facilities). The price usually covers the cage and a pitching machine, and often several hitters can share it. Members and teams often pay less.
